Overview

Students of the Plant Science and Technology program from Brigham Young University Idaho complete a core set of courses and then choose between courses in five focus areas to synthesize their degree based on their career goals. Career opportunities in professional fields include agricultural services industry, private consulting, agronomic and horticultural crop production, agricultural education, environmental services, government agricultural agencies, machinery management, and research and development.

Cumulative unweighted high school grade point average (GPA).
BYU-Idaho currently operates with a test-optional policy for ACT and SAT in the admissions process. This practice will continue through the application for Winter 2024 at minimum. Students are still encouraged to test and submit scores, as BYU-Idaho uses these scores for placement in freshman-level English and Math courses.
