Overview
This program is designed to prepare students for entry-level management positions in health care, as well as position them for long-term career growth. The management of health care services is considered to be one of the fastest growing career fields in the United States.
Graduates of our program typically assume positions in a variety of health-related settings, such as, hospitals, nursing homes, managed care organizations, physician group practices, home health agencies, government health agencies, health insurance companies, and other types of clinical services. The Healthcare Administration program at Jackson State University also prepares students to advance their educational career in graduate school at the Master’s and Doctoral levels. A total of 122 credit hours are required to earn a Bachelor of Science Health Care Administration.
