Overview
Overview
The Organizational Leadership degree at Valdosta State University is an online program, giving students the flexibility of completing their studies from home. Students take part in an online orientation and work with an advisor throughout the course of their studies. The program is part of eMajor, a collaboration between the University System of Georgia and Valdosta State designed to expand a student's educational experience by providing learning opportunities that are more flexible and accessible.
Students in the online organizational leadership program learn about organizational leadership as it relates to and impacts individuals, communities and society from a variety of perspectives. Students learn to express themselves effectively, develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and gain an understanding of ethical principles underlying both research and practice in organizational leadership. In addition to taking required courses within the discipline, students must select a track in public service administration, office administration and technology, legal office administration, law enforcement leadership, or Spanish for professionals or ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) instruction.
