It is an incredibly exciting time to study Computer Science at Lyle. With the support of world-class faculty, the latest technology tools, and cutting-edge research, we encourage students to tap their intellectual abilities to approach difficult problems and create new solutions. The Department of Computer Science from Southern Methodist University offers three undergraduate degree plans and one minor.

An SMU undergraduate degree requires a minimum of 120 credit hours and must include completion of the University’s Common Curriculum, one major and a combination of electives and/or other majors or minors. Completion of certain majors requires more than 120 hours to finish the degree.
