Overview

Students admitted to the Accelerated Chemical Biology program take the same courses as the science majors in the first year, adding other program requirements during the following semesters at Stevens Institute of Technology, and then enter the medical school at the beginning of the fourth year.

Real World Experience

General requirements

To be considered for admission to the accelerated chemical biology program you need to meet these requirements:

Successfully complete the following high school course work: Four years of English; Four years of mathematics (one of algebra, one of geometry, one of pre-calculus, one of calculus); Three years of science (1 of biology, 1 of chemistry, 1 of physics); AP Biology and AP Chemistry, if possible, are recommended

Rank in the top 10% of your high school class

Achieve a combined SAT score of 1400 (critical reading and math) or ACT composite of 32 in one sitting. Standardized tests must be completed prior to the November 15 application deadline and results must be submitted to Stevens via the testing agency to be considered in our review.

Your essay (either through the Common App or submitted separately) should be on the subject of why you want to be a doctor.

Interview with Stevens by November 15th.
