Overview

The School of Community Health and Behavioral Sciences at Northeastern University offers students interdisciplinary education and research excellence, drawing on novel health technologies and data literacy to address society’s most pressing public health issues.

Students in the Health Science program are prepared to be the next generation of innovators and thought leaders in the health professions and public health, empowered to effect real change by leveraging new and emerging technologies and data.

Learning outcomes

Upon satisfactory completion of the Health Sciences Program, Graduates should be able to:

Critique how the healthcare system and public policies impacts healthcare access, quality, and outcomes.
Apply the core values, concepts, and functions of public health to address a major public health challenge.
Explain the socio-economic, behavioral, biological, environmental, and other factors that impact human health and contribute to health disparities
Describe the basic concepts, methods, and tools of public health data collection, use and analysis.
Design a project that uses the fundamental concepts of program implementation including planning, assessment, and evaluation to address a public health challenge.

Your Common Application or Coalition Application
Your application must be submitted by the deadline, along with either the application fee ($75) or a fee waiver request.
Your Secondary School Report and Official High School Transcript must be submitted directly from your high school.
Optional Standardized Testing.
All applicants from US and international high schools will be able to choose to submit standardized testing (SAT or ACT) or not.
Non-native English-speaking applicants must continue to submit official results from an approved English Language Test or request a waiver through the Application Status Check.
English Proficiency: All students, regardless of citizenship must demonstrate English language proficiency when applying to Northeastern.
