The J.B. Hunt Transport Department of Supply Chain Management offers an undergraduate major leading to a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree.

There is an emphasis on business process integration and students will learn to apply analytical techniques and use the systems approach in managing the flow of materials into and through the production and manufacturing processes of a firm to its customers.

Employment opportunities exist in marketing, sales, and operations positions with carriers in all transportation modes, and in positions with shippers having responsibility in one or more areas under logistics management, warehousing, packaging, and materials handling. Opportunities also exist in governmental agencies.

Students may elect to pursue the B.S.B.A. in Supply Chain Management major from University of Arkansas or a Minor in Supply Chain Management in an online format. Students must apply to the University of Arkansas, Office of Admissions for consideration to enroll in the B.S.B.A. and indicate their interest in the online program on the admissions application.

Students are required to submit official transcripts (either high school or college transcripts or both), and an application fee. Students interested in pursuing a minor must notify the Walton College Undergraduate Programs Office.

New freshman applicants should have a high school grade point average of 3.00 or higher on a 4.00 scale that only weights AP, IB, and clearly indicated concurrent/dual enrollment courses with one extra grade point.

Applicants from states outside Arkansas should meet general admission requirements and may be required to meet higher standards, depending on demand and enrollment capacity.
The University of Arkansas continues to require test scores for most scholarship opportunities, and the state of Arkansas requires ACT or SAT scores for Arkansas students applying for the Arkansas Academic Challenge Scholarship and Governor’s Distinguished Scholarship.
