Overview
The Nursing LPN to BSN Option program from Saint Xavier University, is the first such educational opportunity in Illinois for LPNs to earn their BSN in a reduced time frame. It is integrated within the undergraduate nursing curriculum.

The LPN to BSN option enables students who are licensed practical nurses (LPN) to earn a baccalaureate degree in nursing as a full-time student. The curriculum is designed to expand students' previous nursing knowledge and skills through study and clinical practice.

General requirements
- Complete an online application. Select "Nursing/LPN" as your program of interest.
- Submit an in-depth essay that discusses why you want to become a nurse and why you are interested in pursuing your nursing degree at Saint Xavier. The essay is an integral part of your nursing application.
- Hold a current license as a practical nurse (LPN);
- Read, sign and submit the School of Nursing and Health Sciences' Essential Abilities Form.
- Submit official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended. A 2.75/4.0 cumulative GPA is required from all college coursework to be considered for admission. If you have not completed 30 college credit hours, we will also require official high school transcripts and ACT/SAT score reports.
- ATI TEAS (Test of Essential Academic Skills) scores. Only two ATI TEAS test attempts are allowed. Students must score "proficient" or higher in order to be considered for admission.
