Overview

A required internship and a capstone project allow students to put the skills they have learned into practice in real-world settings and to demonstrate their skills and work experience for potential employers as part of their professional development plan.

At Thunderbird/ASU-HU Global Initiative, students study towards a bachelor’s degree in global management or international trade. Upon successful completion of all the requirements, a Thunderbird bachelor’s degree is conferred by Arizona State University, whose main campus is located at the heart of the City of Tempe in the State of Arizona.

Key facts:

An intensive pre-admission English as a second language program prepares non-native English speaking students to study in English, and through the rigorous four-year Thunderbird curriculum, students will be equipped with specialized skills, knowledge, and global perspectives to play a leading role in global and complex environments.

Global Management is offered at Arizona State University.

Programme Structure

Curriculum:

All the courses in the Global Initiative are offered in English, with the first two years of study in Hiroshima focusing on general education, blended with a Peace and Sustainability Studies curriculum, as well as Thunderbird lower-division global business courses.

The academic instruction of the latter two years will focus on further specialized upper-division coursework offered by Thunderbird faculty in Tempe, Arizona.
The rigorous curriculum of Thunderbird School of Global Management, which has led the field of global management education for over 75 years, combined with Hiroshima University's unique “Peace Studies” will nurture global citizens who recognize, understand, and respect different cultures and contribute to creating new values and developing sustainable global business environments.
