What You'll Learn

At the Percussion Studies BM program from New York University you will gain a liberal arts foundation through a range of core courses, including introductory study of the humanities, social sciences, and scientific inquiry. You’ll also pursue your passion to become a professional performer through core music classes, including music history, music theory, aural comprehension, and keyboard harmony and improvisation.

You will study privately with NYU’s renowned Percussion Studies faculty and receive intense training in solo, chamber, and large ensemble performance. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to take elective classes in music business, music technology, jazz studies, and music education, positioning you to be a leader and an entrepreneur in the ever-evolving world of music.
