Overview
Throughout the Middle Education (Math) BEd program from the Liberty University you’ll be well-prepared to communicate these ideas and topics to your students.
Additionally, you’ll study a variety of courses that focus on how to educate children and adolescents. Some of your courses will include topics like classroom teaching, instructional design for middle classrooms, how to teach reading, writing, and language to diverse learners, and behavioral and individual differences between students. Plus, you’ll complete 90 practicum hours and at least 1 full semester of student teaching prior to graduation.
Your concentration will provide you with additional knowledge in the following areas: geometry, mathematical reasoning, and probability and statistics. With this knowledge, you’ll be able to successfully explain mathematical concepts to your adolescent students.
When you are inspired and intrigued by the rationality found in mathematical concepts, you may have the desire to share it with others. Through the bachelor’s in middle education degree with a concentration in math, you’ll receive the knowledge, skills, experience, and credentials needed to professionally teach middle school children these concepts.
If you decide to partner with us at Liberty University, your education degree is going to prepare you with the licensure you need to be a successful middle school math teacher. Adolescents need people like you — who are both enthusiastic and well-educated — to teach them the concepts they’ll need throughout their academics, careers, and lives.
Career Opportunities:
