Programme Structure

  • Students choose from two tracks: fiction or poetry, and while our curriculum includes a full range of literature past and present, we have a special focus on African-American Literature, literature of Africa and the African Diaspora. 
  • Spoken Word and Hip-Hop are among the courses offered.

General Requirements

  • International students must meet all criteria for unconditional acceptance into a degree program of study at North Carolina A&T and provide documented proof of ability to meet financial responsibilities associated with enrollment and living expenses.
  • Standardized Testing Scores (ACT, SAT) must be officially reported to N.C. A&T by the testing agency.
  • Submit Official Transcripts. Transcripts should be sent officially to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, signed and sealed, via postal mail. 
  • Submit Application Fee. A non-refundable application fee payment of $60 is required to complete your admissions application.
