Overview
Architectural engineers work with other engineers and architects to design and construct buildings and the systems within buildings. N.C. A&T’s Architectural Engineering Program has a long and rich history that can trace its origins back to the beginning of the university in 1891. Based on historical records, the first degrees were awarded in 1921 and it was established as a department in 1941. The program was accredited in 1969 by the Engineering Council for Professional Development (ECPD), which is now referred to as the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).
