Overview

The courses of the Sport Management program offered at Eastern Kentucky University include legal issues, sports information, event and facility planning, promotion, media relations and sport finance. Business courses include marketing, management, economics, and accounting. The program culminates with an internship, providing the student "hands on" experience within the industry. Internships are offered cooperatively with a variety of sport organizations including professional sports teams, college athletic departments, community organizations, and recreational sports and fitness centers. To improve marketability and employment opportunities, students should also select courses in basic media skills, desktop video, fundraising, and sportswriting and reporting.

Submit a copy of your valid passport
Submit transcripts:

Complete secondary school records reflecting a cumulative grade of 75% (2.5 GPA equivalent) or higher.

Submit an official copy of your high school diploma or graduation certificate (if applicable).
Provide a declaration of finances - A Certificate of Eligibility (I-20 or DS-2019) will not be authorized until financial verification is received. Providing false information may jeopardize visa status and result in the University revoking acceptance. U.S. immigration law requires international students to prove they have funds available for their educational and living expenses.
