Boise State University graduates of the Kinesiology (Rehabilitation Science and Pre-Athletic Training) program will:

Demonstrate general understanding of material properties of muscles, bone, ligaments, and tendons (human movement system).
Demonstrate understanding of the human body systems' acute responses and chronic adaptations to physical activity.
Assess muscular strength, power, endurance, aerobic capacity and body composition through appropriate laboratory and field based testing.
Demonstrate ability to design and apply exercise prescription for health and performance.
Demonstrate an understanding of the acquisition and performance of human motor skills.
Demonstrate ability to perform kinematic and kinetic analysis of human movement.
Demonstrate effective communication skills.
Demonstrate a general understanding of the bodily movements that contribute to human fitness, holistic wellness and health. (exercise science)
Demonstrate a general understanding of the mechanical principles that govern human movement. (biomechanics)
Demonstrate a general knowledge of the theoretical basis of Kinesiology and how it articulates with the various allied health related fields. (pre-allied health)
Demonstrate a general understanding of the prevention and care of injuries to athletes and the physically active. (pre-athletic training)
