Overview
Psychology (Hons) course at Kingston University has been designed to meet the requirements for the Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) of the British Psychological Society. This will prepare you for postgraduate training on the path to becoming a Chartered Psychologist. You’ll study theories and approaches to the understanding of human behaviour across the core areas of psychology, without limiting your experience to any specific area. In your final year, you will customise your learning, selecting optional modules from a wide offering that includes a work experience module and/or modules that deepen your knowledge in, for example, neuropsychology, child development, occupational psychology, health psychology or forensic psychology.
Career:
Our Psychology BSc graduates go on to work in a variety of settings and many continue training to become chartered psychologists. Careers include clinical, forensic, educational and occupational psychology, social work, counselling and teaching.
Throughout the course, we embed specialist careers support and optional work placements to develop your employability skills for the world of graduate employment.
