With the guidance of faculty mentorship, on the Dance program from Goucher College students develop independence and the self-initiative to pursue their passions by building their own path of study.

Goucher students explore a variety of dance genres, including Ballet, Pointe, Modern, and Africanist techniques. Through Goucher's dance curriculum, students learn to observe, analyze, document, synthesize, and integrate both theoretical and applied knowledge to become leaders in the multifaceted world of Dance. Our guest-artist-in-residence program features five distinguished artists each year who augment an esteemed Dance faculty of scholars and working artists.

What will you do?

Goucher College's flexible curriculum supports students who want to double major and minor in areas outside of Dance as well as complete unique internships and study abroad. Additionally, students receive multiple performance opportunities starting as first-year students.
