As a Communication Arts major from Maranatha Baptist University, you will gain experience in written, visual, and oral communication as part of a well-rounded program that will teach you the importance of representing Christ in how you communicate.

Our Communication Arts students can specialize in dramatic productions, speech, technical theatre, digital media, or photography—all of which help students reach their full creative potential while receiving a well-rounded, hands-on education, all within the framework of a biblical worldview.

Students studying in these creative fields will be prepared to serve the needs of a growing presentation industry focused on creating and delivering messages for the greatest impact possible. The prevailing need today is for skilled artists who are able to collaborate across fields and clearly articulate their ideas. Communication Arts combines these skills in one cohesive major.

Pay $50 application fee.

Supply character references: The character references must be completed by three people who are not relatives. One must be your pastor or a pastoral staff member.

Send your high school transcript: Contact your high school and ask them to send your transcript to Maranatha. Many schools require a signed transcript release form granting them permission to send us your transcript.

Take a standardized test: Take the ACT (Maranatha’s code: 4604), CLT, or the SAT (code: 2732) and identify Maranatha as one of the institutions you want your scores to be sent to.

Complete other admissions forms: Complete any additional forms sent you in your admissions packet (Church Attendance, Student Conduct Statement, etc.).
