Lee University’s Political Science curriculum offers students a broad range of coursework in the discipline, with opportunities to specialize in American Politics, Political Theory, or International Relations and Comparative Government.
Our program
The Bachelor in Political Science program is unique in that it models the virtues it wishes to inculcate through strong faculty mentoring and robust sense of community outside of the classroom. Coursework emphasizes critical analysis of political theory and practice, as well as an understanding of political institutions and actors.
Upon graduation, students frequently pursue graduate studies in political science, law school, and careers in government service or the private sector. This degree also provides students with the skills necessary to compete in such widely diverse fields as public and international affairs, campaign management, lobbying and issue advocacy, and many others.

General requirements
- Completed application form;
- $25.00 U.S. dollars nonrefundable application fee;
- Official records of previous academic work, copies must be certified as true copies by an official of the educational institution;
- The official language at Lee University is English. A TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score must be officially reported by the Education Testing Service if the applicant is from a non English-Speaking country (Lee University’s institutional number is 1401);
- A sponsor’s guarantee form and bank statement, documenting that there is sufficient financial resources for two semesters of study including travel expenses. This is a United States government regulation that is strictly enforced by Lee University.
