The General Engineering from Trine University and Computing to help these students, the Allen School of Engineering and Computing admits engineering students who are undecided about a major into the category of General Engineering.

While general engineering is not a major and students at Trine University cannot earn a degree in general engineering, this program allows students to make progress toward an engineering degree while exploring the opportunities afforded by the various engineering disciplines.

General Engineering students are not required to select an engineering major until they register for their fourth semester. This allows more than two semesters to explore the vast field of engineering and find the field that's right for you.
