In today's working world, writing skills have become a precious commodity. According to a report from the National Commission on Writing, writing is a "threshold skill" for hiring salaried employees. At LETU, we know the value of effective communication, and we make sure our English students do too.

However, the Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature at LeTourneau University is more than just a "reading and writing" program. English majors at LETU hone the fine art of expressing ideas, of crafting words and phrases, in a way that speaks to other people.

Enjoyment and analysis of good literature remain essential parts of our program at LETU, where our students develop critical reading and thinking skills as they become well acquainted with the writings of significant British, American and international authors, both classic and modern.

General requirements

You must submit official transcripts either by email or mail to your International Admissions officer (see below). All official transcripts must be sent directly from your high school or university. If you have completed university-level coursework outside the US, please have your foreign university transcript evaluated by one of the following approved credential evaluation companies: TEC, ECE, or WES.

All international students must demonstrate English proficiency.

The I-20 Form, necessary for securing a student visa to enter the US, will be sent to you only after admission to LeTourneau University and proof of financial resources have been established.

In addition to these documents, please submit a copy of your passport picture page via email to your International Admissions officer.
