Biomedical engineers work alongside other health care professionals in a wide range of capacities. They might perform research to improve our understanding of how the human body works, design new devices or techniques to diagnose and treat diseases, perform motion analysis to improve the performance of professional athletes, or develop new materials that are used to make prosthetics or implants more durable.

Project Highlights

LeTourneau University's Biomedical Engineering courses include hands-on projects in musculoskeletal biomechanics using research-grade equipment in Biomedical Engineering Lab.

Our students will have research experiences in their Junior Biomedical Engineering Research I & II and Senior Design I & II. Some of their work has been presented at national academic conferences. Students pursuing a B.S. in Engineering, Biomedical concentration participate in a variety of senior design projects.

General requirements

You must submit official transcripts either by email or mail to your International Admissions officer (see below). All official transcripts must be sent directly from your high school or university. If you have completed university-level coursework outside the US, please have your foreign university transcript evaluated by one of the following approved credential evaluation companies: TEC, ECE, or WES.

All international students must demonstrate English proficiency.

The I-20 Form, necessary for securing a student visa to enter the US, will be sent to you only after admission to LeTourneau University and proof of financial resources have been established.

In addition to these documents, please submit a copy of your passport picture page via email to your International Admissions officer.
