The Art Education program at College for Creative Studies is a studio-based Visual Arts Teacher Certification program connected with the BFA degree. 


  • While students master their craft, they complete rigorous education and core liberal arts courses. 
  • Hands-on teaching experience at our onsite, art- and design-based charter school, University Prep: Art & Design—as well as others throughout Metro Detroit—prepares graduates to teach in Michigan and across the United States.
