Overview

The overall intent of the BAA degree program in Design is to provide a firm grounding in the essential ideas, principles, theories and technologies that underlie the built environment. The design studio sequence, the core of the program, is where all the elements of the design process come together in exercises that build increasing skill and sophistication in the student designer.

  • Apply online or download the UNM application form. 

  • Architecture application form.

  • A portfolio of creative work. (Portfolio Guidelines are available in the advisor’s office – format is 8.5 x 11 inches).

  • One page letter of intent (2 copies – one is bound in the portfolio).

  • Transcripts. All students must submit unofficial UNM transcripts with their application.
