As a Queens University of Charlotte Music Therapy major, you will become a versatile musician and develop strong clinical skills. You will graduate with a degree in a field that is a growing profession worldwide. You will learn to use music as a therapeutic medium to help individuals of all ages maintain or improve abilities in cognitive, social, motor and/or language skills through singing, playing instruments, improvising, songwriting, expressive movement and music-assisted relaxation.
In addition to advancing your skills on your primary instrument, you will become proficient in piano, voice, guitar and percussion. As a music therapy major, you also will complete a minor in psychology.
