The Marketing concentration of the Bachelor of Business Administration (BSBA) at Rockhurst University’s Helzberg School of Management teaches the most important concepts in marketing – such as market research, market segmentation and targeting, consumer behavior, the distribution of goods and services, pricing policy, promotion, and communication, as well as marketing management – while offering students the opportunity to explore specialty areas of interest.

Students will be prepared for a variety of marketing jobs in a fast-growing segment of the job market. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, overall employment of advertising, promotions and marketing managers is projected to grow 10% from 2016 to 2026 – faster than the average for all occupations. The average marketing salary will vary over a career, as entry-level marketing coordinators make around $40,000 and marketing directors can earn over $80,000.

Advertising, promotion, and marketing campaigns will continue to be essential for organizations as they seek to maintain and expand their share of the market. Specific job titles for new graduates include advertising agency account manager, public relations specialist, digital media coordinator, marketing coordinator and social media analyst, among others.
