About

The Religion Youth Ministry program at  Florida Southern College will challenge you to think deeply and critically about Biblical and theological questions of faith, tradition, reason and religious identity and their application and appropriation in youth ministry settings.

Overview

The Religion Youth Ministry program offers the Bachelor of Arts in Religion and the Bachelor of Arts in Religion with a Concentration in Youth Ministry. Students who pursue the B.A. in Religion will encounter a balanced and challenging curriculum offering courses in the traditional areas of Biblical and Christian theological studies, as well as exposure to non-Christian religious traditions.

Through critical engagement with Biblical, theological, and religious concepts, students will develop an understanding and appreciation for religious faith and how this faith engages and transforms culture, history, and the human experience, while at the same time comprehending its implications for both ethical conduct and self-understanding as responsible citizens of the global community. The curriculum is driven by student-focused learning, instructional technology, and student guided discussions, seminars and research.
