The program in Mathematics offers the B.A. and B.S. degrees with a major in mathematics and the B.S. in Secondary Mathematics Education, 6–12 for students seeking to earn a degree teaching mathematics in secondary school. (To teach in secondary school, additional coursework leading to teacher certification is required in the School of Education.)

A minor in mathematics is available for students majoring in other disciplines. The mission of the program is to promote the full potential of each student through the exploration of the world of mathematics and the mastery of the mathematics discipline necessary to be a contributing citizen in this highly technical society
