As a Sociology and Anthropology major at Guilford College you will see the entire human experience as your textbook with the benefit of world-renowned faculty at your side. You can also develop and pursue your own interests through independent studies and research, community service, internship opportunities with local and national organizations and study abroad.

Program Learning Outcomes

Sociology and Anthropology is engaged in not only understanding the intricacies of why and how we interact with one another but with creating paths for improving those interactions. You will attain the knowledge, skills and values to interact with diverse people in a variety of social settings.

Graduates have attended prestigious graduate programs at U.S. universities including Tulane, Harvard and UNC Chapel Hill, as well as Oxford University in England and the University of Peace in Costa Rica. They have also built successful, rewarding careers at the Smithsonian Institution Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage and with USAID in the Translating Research into Action Project.

If your final year of education is still in progress, submit any and all documentation you have up to this time.
