Overview

This is an ideal major for students with dreams of pursuing a career in a health field. Guilford’s pre-professional programs — Pre-Medicine, Pre-Dentistry, Pre-Physician Assistant, Pre-Physical Therapy and Pre-Veterinary Medicine — prepare students to go on to graduate school in their preferred health field or to enter the workforce in other health professions.

Requirements

In addition to coursework, Health Science majors are required to complete an internship to make sure they get experience needed for admission to graduate programs in the health professions. Health sciences internships, study abroad programs and research projects give our students opportunities to gain real-world experience.

If your final year of education is still in progress, submit any and all documentation you have up to this time. Guilford College requires properly certified English translations of transcripts for review. Transcripts must be verified by World Education Services.
