Overview

The Economics program offered by the Saint Vincent College seeks to provide a strong academic foundation for understanding the complexities of economic activity and decision making within both the private and public sectors and for understanding the relationship between the economy and society as a whole. 

Students will be able to apply rigorous analysis to economic issues and problems through the use of market-oriented theoretical models, quantitative techniques and economic reasoning.

What Can I Do With a Degree in Economics from the Saint Vincent College? McKenna economic majors pursue jobs in banking and finance, insurance, consulting and research, to name a few. Others go on to earn graduate and/or law school degrees. Our graduates are known for their quantitative skills and regularly place into the top 20 U.S. Ph.D. economics programs.

General Requirements

  • Complete Application for Admission.
  • Complete Supplemental Application (also under Tools section)
  • Submit original or certified copies of the original and official academic record, transcript or examination results for the completion of secondary education. Official documents not issued in English must be accompanied by a certified English translation.
  • Submit the application fee of $25 or waiver form.
  • Submit an official result of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Test System (IELTS). TOEFL score of 79 on the IBT and 6.5 on the IELTS or higher is required for applicants.
  • The SAT is NOT required.
  • Writing sample or essay.
  • Scanned copy of passport photo page.
