As a Franciscan University of Steubenville student in the Theology program, you can trust that everything you learn in the classroom is authentically and fully Catholic. Our theology faculty — first in the country to take the Oath of Fidelity to the Church’s magisterium in 1989 and including well-known Catholic authors such as Dr. Scott Hahn, Dr. Regis Martin, Dr. Alan Schreck, and Dr. Mark Miravalle — have all taken the oath and received the mandatum from the bishop of Steubenville.

No essay or letters of recommendation are required, and the application only takes about 15 minutes!

Send an official copy of your high school transcript to the Admissions Office. A final official transcript is required of transfers and high school students upon graduating.

In general, we require an applicant’s SAT, ACT, or CLT score and ask that it be forwarded to us whether as part of an applicant’s transcript or straight from the testing agency.

Unless English is the native language of your country, all applicants must submit scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
