Co-sponsored by the Department of Biology and the Department of Education, the Biology Teaching Major offers solid groundwork in biology and other sciences, coupled with extensive training in education. Biology courses put a strong emphasis on investigating the workings of the natural world, from the micro to the macro level. Education courses are designed to meet standards for Tennessee licensure.
