About the programme
All students of the Criminal Justice program at University of North Georgia are required to complete an internship prior to graduation. This is an important part of your undergraduate criminal justice education. There are four requirements you must meet before you are eligible to begin your internship and enroll in the internship course.- You must have completed all of Area F in your Criminal Justice Plan of Study
- You must have taken and completed CRJU 3601 or CRJU 3002
- You must have completed a minimum of 18 hours of CRJU courses
- You must have a GPA of at least 2.0 (both overall and within the CRJU major)

Other requirements
General requirements
- 16 or older before the first day of class.
- You must be a high school graduate.
- You must prove English proficiency.
- International applicants who are considered as a traditional freshman (graduated from high school less than 5 years ago) or considered as a freshman/transfer (graduated from high school less than 5 years ago and have less than 30 transferable college hours) must submit official SAT or ACT scores and meet traditional freshman criteria.
- If you are required to complete Accuplacer testing, please note that the Accuplacer testing will need to be completed before an admissions decision is made. If you are located close to a UNG campus – you can complete this testing at UNG’s Dahlonega, Gainesville or Oconee campus. If you are located outside of Georgia or the US, please contact UNG’s Testing Center to schedule a remote Accuplacer test.
