Overview
At Salve Regina University, the Religious and Theological Studies program invites you to explore life's biggest questions through a global and interdisciplinary lens.
The dynamic program delves into the beliefs, histories and ethical systems that shape cultures and societies, offering a well-rounded approach to the world’s religious traditions - including but not limited to Christianity.
Whether you're drawn to the philosophical questions of faith, the intersection of religion and social justice or the role of spirituality in today's world, we provide the tools to think critically, engage in meaningful dialogue and broaden your worldview.
Career Paths
Employers seek individuals who are adaptable, insightful and able to engage with complex ideas. While technical skills can be taught on the job, companies and organizations value employees who bring a broad understanding of different worldviews, strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to articulate ideas clearly.
Both for-profit and nonprofit companies seek employees who are smart, interesting and quick learners. While employees can be taught necessary technical skills, employers want them to have real exposure to ideas, different worldviews and the ability to speak, read and write effectively. This is precisely what the religious and theological studies degree offers.
