Overview

Based on your interests, you will gain comprehensive knowledge within your artistic field of choice. You will also identify business opportunities within the art world and focus on planning, organizing, leading, and allocating resources in arts organizations.

All students complete a capstone seminar that channels the knowledge they’ve accumulated into a discipline-specific project under close faculty guidance. Chatham is one of the few universities across the country that offers such an independent and student-driven program.

Chatham University is walking distance to many of Pittsburgh’s best loved arts institutions and organizations, including the Carnegie Museum of Art, Carnegie Music Hall, and Frick Fine Arts Museum.

Degree Opportunities

Arts Management students can take six approved courses from Visual Arts, Media Arts, Music, or Dance. The Dance concentration is a collaborative program with the Pittsburgh Ballet Theater.
