Overview

The Electrical Engineering program at University of Washington Bothell provides a rigorous educational experience in which students master the fundamentals and applications of electricity, electronics, and electromagnetism.  The curriculum emphasizes design, teamwork, ethics, entrepreneurship, and civic responsibility. During their academic career at the University of Washington Bothell students grow to understand the impact of engineering solutions in global, economic, environmental and societal contexts.

The BSEE Program is designed to accommodate students from diverse backgrounds including working students who desire a non-traditional program of study. Students are exposed to various learning environments including being in the classroom, on-line and hands-on lab work. Electrical Engineering classes are typically offered in the late afternoon and early evening.

Academic Requirements

You need the following GPA score:

Required score: 2

Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 2 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).

Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).

  • Complete core requirements and prerequisites. 
  • Provide one official transcript from each college or university you have attended. Note: If you have attended a Washington state community college(s), please have your transcript(s) sent electronically (NOT faxed). In, addition please provide an official high school transcript.
  • Complete the online application with a Personal Statement and $60 application fee.
