Overview
The Social Work programme offered by Park University includes both classroom work and two-semester field instruction in a social service agency. There are two overarching conceptual frameworks throughout our curriculum: the idea of emphasizing clients’ abilities, talents, and resources (known as the “strengths perspective”) and the ecological systems theory, which focuses on relationships between individuals, communities and the wider society.
Social work is both challenging and rewarding. Academic Requirements
You need the following GPA score:
Required score: 2.5
Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 2.5 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).

- Completed online Park University application form. Please indicate your country of citizenship and country of residence, even if they are the same as the country of birth.
- Non-refundable application fee of $75.00 paid as part of application form.
- Application fee includes express I-20 mailing fee if admitted
- Official or unofficial transcripts from your high school/college. Certified English translations of the transcripts should be provided for transcripts that are in a language other than English. A 2.5 cumulative (overall) GPA is required for full admission.
