Overview
The aim of the BA in Art at the University of North Alabama is to provide students a wide range of training in and understanding of studio arts. Since the goal of such training is not necessarily preparation for a career in art or design upon graduation, the addition of a supplementary minor program is strongly encouraged.
Suggested minors include Psychology (for those wishing to pursue careers/studies in art therapy), Business (for those wishing to pursue careers/studies in art management), English (a great compliment to any major program), Digital Media Production, and Human Computer Interaction/User Experience Design (HCI/UC Design)
Mission
The University of North Alabama seeks to be a leading provider of high quality, affordable undergraduate professional management education for traditional students and working adults in the mid-south region served by the University. Further, the UNA seeks to be a recognized leader in providing high quality affordable graduate and continuing education for entry level and mid-career business professionals in the U.S. and Asia. The College will be recognized for developing learning synergies based on the cornerstones of diversity and globalization to prepare our students for the challenges of the 21st century economy.
