About

The Aviation Maintenance Technology program at Pennsylvania College of Technology is a bachelor of science degree structured to prepare a graduate for employment in repairing and maintaining modern aircraft. The major builds on the first two years of aircraft maintenance (A&P - Airframe and Powerplant emphasis) or on the experience of a practicing aircraft technician (A&P).

Overview

About this program

Today’s aircrafts are sophisticated and complex. Tomorrow’s will be even more. At Penn College, you’ll learn the technical skills to repair the aircrafts we have now, plus those we’ll see in the future. And our hands-on approach to learning means lots of hours in the lab. Testing and troubleshooting theories. Learning how to fix integrated mechanical and electronic systems. All this training pays off when it comes time to take your FAA Mechanical License test and launch the career of your dreams.

The third and fourth years of the Aviation Maintenance Technology program at Pennsylvania College of Technology concentrate on developing skills in electronics, information networks, business, and general education, with particular emphasis in avionics systems and troubleshooting. The baccalaureate course work is designed to provide a broad base of technical knowledge in order to repair the integrated mechanical and electronic systems found on aircraft of today and tomorrow.

Career Opportunities
