The Psychology at Black Hills State University has a strong tradition of preparing students who excel in graduate programs and in their careers. Students study human behavior and the psychological, social, and biological processes that relate to that behavior. With a degree in Psychology from BHSU, students are successful in graduate school and in pursuing careers as psychologists, social workers, career counselors, personnel and labor relations specialists, market researchers, and data analysts.

- 3 years of laboratory science

- 1 year of fine arts
Students must meet one of the following admissions requirements:
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.6
- Minimum composite ACT of 18 (SAT score of 970 or above)
- Rank in the top 60% of high school class
