Overview

Theatre done well constructs community.

Studying and experiencing theatre also can prepare you for life. Theatre majors develop the critical thinking skills, creativity, communication skills, deadline skills, and group-work skills that all employers want -- both in and out of show business.

As a theatre major at Alvernia University, you’ll experience first hand the challenges and rewards of theatre production and performance. You’ll build relationships with your peers and learn how to solve problems and improvise. You’ll develop the skills of time management and establishing priorities while gaining a valuable, well rounded education.

In the Alvernia tradition, you’ll also learn the importance of diversity of thought, faiths and cultures, and be challenged to shape and transform the world as a working professional, concerned citizen and caring member of the greater community.
