When they graduate, they will have the skills and knowledge needed to obtain an airport manager position at a smaller, general aviation airport, or an airport operations position at a larger, commercial-service airport.

Why study Aviation Management program at California Baptist University?

Learn the business side of aviation. This program is designed for students who desire a non-flight career with flexible career options. It’s a business-based aviation degree, and includes courses in airport management, airline management, aviation consulting, airport planning and design, aviation finance and more. Students will learn from an accredited airport executive and certified aviation manager with airport industry experience. They’ll have the opportunity to tour various airports and attend the American Association of Airport Executives annual conference.

Study at an airport. We currently have a brand-new fleet of Piper aircraft, a 9,000 square-foot Flight Operations Center with classrooms, flight planning room, flight simulators, full kitchen and student lounge. Riverside Municipal Airport offers a safe flight training environment, with two paved runways, and is less than three miles from the CBU campus.

Academic Requirements

You need the following GPA score:

Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 2 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).

Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).

General Requirements

  • Official transcripts. Send us the official sealed copies of all academic records (including transcripts, mark sheets and grade reports, as well as graduation certificates, diplomas and/or completion certificates) from secondary schools, showing dates of attendance, courses taken and grades received. Transfer applicants are required to submit all official college transcripts from all colleges/universities attended.
  • An essay or personal statement. Submit a personal statement (minimum 3–5 paragraphs) responding to "What do you hope to gain from your experience as a student at CBU?"
  • Minimum of 430 on the Evidence-Based Reading and Writing  on the SAT.
  • Minimum of 16 on the English section of the ACT.
