Throughout this Accounting program from Northwest Missouri State University , you'll not only learn the accounting basics, but you'll also get exposure to taxation, auditing, and cost accounting courses. We offer two track options: public accounting or managerial accounting.

In Missouri, students can sit for the CPA exam 60 days prior to earning 120 credit hours, but must earn 150 total hours to be eligible for CPA licensure. This requirement varies by state. Alternatively, accounting students can consider the Certified Management Accountants (CMA) certification, which has a more operational and financial focus to prepare students for positions with large organizations.
