To provide a holistic, liberal education that integrates the study of human activity and the natural environment, the geography major at CCSU offers five specializations: environmental, geographic information science (GIS), tourism, general/regional, and planning, plus subject concentration for Elementary Education certification and Secondary Education Certification in Social Studies. 

About

A secondary goal is to enable students to pursue a graduate degree in geography or seek employment in geography-related fields. Students on the GIS track will explore GIS basics and applications across a variety of industries, elementary cartography, remote sensing, and more.
