To provide a holistic, liberal education that integrates the study of human activity and the natural environment, the Geography - Environmental Geography major at Central Connecticut State University offers five specializations: environmental, geographic information science Geography - Environmental Geography, tourism, general/regional.


A secondary goal is to enable students to pursue a graduate degree in geography or seek employment in Geography - Environmental Geography -related fields. Students at Central Connecticut State University who specialize in Environmental Geography will explore topics and concepts related to physical geography, such as climatology, sustainability of soils and vegetation, cartography, and environmental protection.
