Rooted in experiential learning and travel, the Teaching - French major at University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire provides countless opportunities for you to grow as both a teacher and as a person.

Courses explore a variety of topics, from grammar and pronunciation to the history of French civilization to a cross-continental study of Francophone cultures. Through a semester spent student teaching, as well as multiple opportunities to assist teachers in their classroom, you'll identify your preferred teaching style and discover how to best meet the needs of your learners.

Features

An exciting and key component of this program is that all French teaching majors are required to participate in an international language immersion experience. Ranging from six weeks to a semester abroad, you'll immerse yourself in a country where French is spoken, gaining a deeper cultural awareness and a better understanding of the French language.
