Overview
SU’s Sociology Department sponsors two annual events for its students: a canoeing trip on the Nanticoke River and a spring picnic. The Sociology Action Club, led by students, has shown movies with discussions, organized a trip to the Holocaust Museum, sponsored a fair trade sale, organized bonfires, and volunteered for nursing homes, soup kitchens and afterschool programs.
In addition, internship opportunities abound at SU, giving you the skills needed to transition into an active member of society. Internship placements for our students have included positions in a variety of places, such as:
