The purpose of the Sport Management program of The University of Tampa is to provide students with a combination of sport business theory and practical experience to prepare them for a successful career in the sport management industry.

Overview

The Sport Management program of The University of Tampa has received specialized accreditation through the Commission on Sport Management Accreditation (COSMA) located in Fort Collins, CO. The sport management programs in the following degrees are accredited by COSMA: Bachelor of Science in Sport Management.

The curriculum consists of sport management courses as well as courses from the Sykes College of Business and a 12-credit-hour internship with a sport organization. Four full-time faculty members, all of who have held professional positions in the sport industry, are responsible for teaching all sport management courses (no graduate assistants).

  • A recommendation written by a counselor, teacher or headmaster.

  • International students also must furnish proof of available funds to cover their first year of study (including miscellaneous expenses) and each subsequent year.
  • Upon admission to the University and satisfactory completion of the financial statement, an I-20 form will be sent to applicants from UT’s admissions office.
