The Innovation and Entrepreneurship program from University of Central Arkansas will provide you with the creative and practical knowledge and experience you need to become a successful business owner or valued asset in corporate, governmental, and non-profit organizations across a variety of fields.

The balanced business marketing and management curriculum we offer includes courses in innovation and creative thinking, product development, human resources, small business finance, marketing, and new venture creation. Graduates from our program are equipped with the essential skills needed to prosper in the increasingly global market of the 21st century: creativity, problem-solving, and ambition.

Expert Faculty who are dedicated to the success of their students and provide them with individual attention and mentoring. Our faculty keep up-to-date with marketing and management trends, as executives in residence and consultants, and are academically and professionally qualified by AASCB standards – which ensures your faculty are at the top of their field and the curriculum meets the highest standards in the discipline. Our instructors have served as Vice Presidents for major companies or even owned their own businesses and contribute their experience to curriculum and engagement opportunities for students, such as a social media course, and classroom competitions using business simulation software as part of the senior capstone course.

Professional Networking through a variety of experiential opportunities, such as internships, service learning and research projects in the community; study abroad programs in international business hubs including China, Italy, and Panama; as well as internships with companies like Maverick, Cintas, Sherwin Williams, The Buckle, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Dillard’s, Target, Hewlett Packard, and Acxiom, just to mention a few.

Student Organizations offering opportunities for students to engage with their peers and leading industry professionals through our student organizations, including Phi Beta Lambda – a national educational association for business-minded students, which promotes competent business leadership, establishes career goals, develops character and self-confidence, and encourages civic service and community involvement, through state and national conferences, seminars, and competitive events.
